Morning Session

Time: 10:00 – 12noon

Introduction to NVC: Why Everyone’s Needs Matter.

Find your superpower of understanding through needs awareness. When we can decipher our needs beneath our feelings we gain insight into our motivations. When we understand our motivations based on our values, we also understand others. This offers us more choices in communication and in finding ways to nurture our needs and others.

This session includes:

Foundational components of NVC/work in dyads (pairs)
Exercises for continued learning.

Afternoon Session

Time: 13:00-15:00

Intro to NVC: Is anybody Listening? Ending the Frustration of Collaboration

This session focuses on the four choices of how to listen to a hard-to-hear message. Using the foundation of understanding feelings and needs (Universal Human Values) we can communicate for a place that is outside of blame and shame. This understanding creates increased collaboration and can offer unexpected ways to work together so all needs are met.

This session includes:

  • Group demo/individual breakouts
  • Harvest, and continued learning homework

Book this session – Free but cash donations are suggested for the trainer3

“Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a unique and powerful process for inspiring compassionate connection and action. It provides a framework and set of skills to address a wide range of concerns, from the most intimate relationships to global political conflicts.

The purpose of NVC is to help all involved to sharpen their awareness of language so that they can express what really matters to them, and also hear what really matters to others. It involves empathic communication whereby we can attune ourselves to both our own and other people’s real needs.”
