Rewind is directed by Cathie Boyd, the award-winning founder and artistic director of the Glasgow-based company Cryptic and Sonica Glasgow Festival (from 2012). Cryptic is world-renowned for presenting pioneering artists and producing multi-media performances that fuse music, sonic and visual art.

Written by Sonja Henrici, shot by Neville Kidd (whose future credits would include Sherlock, Dr Who, The Umbrella Academy, Outlander) and with music from Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge, Snowdon, Love Actually, Neds), Rewind premiered at Los Angeles’ Outfest in 2009, and numerous other international film festivals.

It was cast with German actors Anna Rot and Sabine Wolf and filmed entirely in Scotland.
